From 6 June to 10 June, guests from Turkey and the Czech Republic visited Marijampole Higher Education Institution for a whole week: 4 Turkish representatives from Denizli Yenisehir Anaokulu Kindergarten, 4 Czech representatives from Mateřská škola Kindergarten and 4 representatives from Pastelky Kindergarten.
On the first day, the guests got acquainted with Marijampole Higher Education Institution, the activities of the STEAM Centre, and the Childhood Pedagogy study programme. After the lunch break, a seminar and a workshop on “Psycho-motor Developmental Psychology for Children Learning Outside of School” was held. The activities were led by Vilma Liaudanskė, doc. lecturer at Marijampole Higher Education Institution.
The second day started with a seminar and workshop on “Cognitive Developmental Psychology and Effective Developmental Psychology for Children”. The activities were led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salomėja Karasevičiūtė and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sigita Montvilaitė. Later, the whole delegation visited the Marijampole kindergarten “Rūta”, where the kindergarten’s activities, its various studies and structure were presented.
On the third day, Assoc. Prof. Vilma Liaudanskė, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sigita Montvilaitė and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salomėja Karasevičiūtė shared information about learning outside the educational institution: they presented the conducted research, analysis and results obtained.
At the end of the week, the delegation visited the Marijampole kindergarten “Šypsenėlė”, where the activities and structure of the kindergarten were presented. All the week’s activities were summarised in an open table discussion and certificates were distributed. The last day of the project was dedicated to cultural activities, during which the participants visited the capital of Lithuania.
