Romalda Kasiliauskienė, Head of the Department of Pedagogy, Arts and Social Work, visited the University of Liepaja on 20-22 September as part of the Erasmus+ learning programme. She discussed with Prof. Dr. Dina Bethere, Director of the Institute of Educational Sciences, the joint research on “Teachers’ attitudes towards inclusive education: the experiences of Latvia and Lithuania”, the possibilities of preparing an article on the basis of the research and publishing it.
During the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Work, Prof. Dr. Linda Pavitola, invited the participants to participate in an international event during the European Teacher Education Network/ETEN meeting. Teachers from 15 countries, such as Israel, USA, Sweden, Albania, the Netherlands, Spain, etc., shared their experiences and good practices on collaborative learning on distance platforms.
It was a very useful experience for developing professional competences in research and intercultural communication skills. It is also important to note that the cooperation with the University of Liepaja is increasing in the fields of pedagogy and social work.
We are pleased that the Institution’s faculty and staff are taking advantage of the Erasmus+ opportunities available at the higher education institution and are travelling not only to improve their competences, but also to gain comprehensive international experience.
