Eglė Vaičiūnė, a methodologist at the STEAM Open Access Centre of Marijampolė Institution of Higher Education, took part in the STEAM Ecosystem Education Forum “STEAM Spectra 2024” in Kaunas, Vytautas Magnus University. It featured various presentations on STEAM education and its importance and benefits for students.
Presentations by:
Prof. Dr. Jari Lavonen, researcher at the University of Helsinki, presented “How does the Finnish compulsory school curriculum emphasize STEAM education?”;
Aidas Aldakauskas, Head of the National Education Agency, talked about Strengthening Educational Content through Non-Formal Education;
Vaida Repovienė, Head of the STEAM Centre of Panevėžys, presented STEAM Centres: how do they live today?;
Prof. Vida Mildažienė, researcher and lecturer at Vytautas Magnus University, talked about the interpretation of STEAM education.
Finally, all the participants broke into groups and roundtable discussions took place. The forum focused on discussions about the pathways of cooperation, the challenges and development of STEAM education.
